We’ve been radio silent on the Kickstarter announcement for far too long, and it’s time we explained what’s been going on behind the scenes. As I’m sure you can already guess, this first Kickstarter was a learning experience, to put it mildly. To put it bluntly, it was a nearly endless series of setbacks and irritations.
But the long wait to finally get the last of the shipments rolling is finally over. Its been over two weeks since the last package left the fulfillment center and an amazing track record for safe arrival. (6 replacement needed out of 550 packages so far *fingers crossed*) Now we finally have time to sit back and learn from our mistakes, as well as plan for the next project based on user feedback.
Firstly, we were new to dealing with both printing companies and fulfillment centers, as well as EU shipping charges. This was a painfully slow learning process, especially since we received a lot of conflicting information as to where to ship the books for the best distribution which added nearly three or four months to the process.
Additionally, the manufacturer was initially adamant that we printed the same number of each backer bonus items as the total number of books we printed.
Secondly, we may have overdone it with some of our stretch goals. While there were a lot of cool things available to unlock, it drew out the production length of the core product.
For a long while, every time we wanted to post an update on Kickstarter, what we were about to post was immediately rendered inaccurate. This continued for so long, we became gunshy about posting anything because we didn't want to make empty promises.
This led to a long period of inactivity outside of our Facebook page, and our current main point of contact on Discord. ( Please join us on Discord, we’ll be having a lot of polls to help shape the direction of the next project. https://discord.gg/SRB2E8e )
We’re going to be looking into solutions to problems we’ve experienced in the past. Including but not limited to a new distributor who responds to queries in a timely fashion, ( As opposed to a response time best measured in weeks. ) and investigating the possibility of manufacturing the EU orders in EU to avoid any additional costs, delays, and package damaging possbilities.
We’re also going to do everything in our power to make sure we communicate as much through all available channels as possible this time, so there are no long awkward silences between us.
The team has been discussing all kinds of possibilities in the past few months. Book, card game, board game, miniature war game, or even a children's book! However, we're leaning towards a second book to stay true to our supporters.
We are looking at the possibility of leaning much further into the RPG aspects for the second book, whether its an extension to the first book, supplement expansion, or more campaigns, we’ll have to gauge interest first.

The shipment has finally arrived our fulfillment partner’s warehouse last week!
We are currently sorting it out right now and hoping to start delivery asap. We are aiming to start shipping the majority of the physical books next week. (We are currently working on scheduling Wen-M down to the warehouse to do the book signing) That means you will have three days to update your shipping address before we start locking them down.

Hello everyone,
We have been holding off on an official update for a long while. While there are incremental progress every week or so from the manufacturer, we decided to give small updates in the comment section instead. We want an update that will get you really excited. Here it is.
We have just received confirmation from our manufacturer that we have officially finished production. The book, art prints, stretch goal items (folded map, hero token cards, bookmarks) have all been completed. The manufacturer has kindly provided with some photos to give you a preview of the final product.
With the production being complete, we will be moving into the final phase. We will arrange the freight from the manufacturer to the fulfillment company in United States. Delivery for the majority of our backers will start once the shipment arrives to the fulfillment company's warehouse. The exception being the signed physical copies, which will have to go through Wen-M's loving touches =) The handful of our Asian backers will be getting their copies a bit earlier, since we will be shipping them directly from the manufacturer.
